Rick Wahlers Bio
It's a funky, contemporary, soulful, Jazzy, Bluesy kind of way Rick Wahlers approaches his music.
Fronting his band, playing lead guitar and lead vocals, Rick offers a wide variety of music for his listeners. You can tell from his performances that he's been influenced by everybody from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Willie Dixon, George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Buddy Guy and ALL the Delta Blues Men.
The international performing experiences Rick has had led him to share stages as the opening act for such big names like: “Doobie Brothers”, “The Fabulous Thunderbirds”, “Gladys Knight”, southern rockers “The Outlaws" and “The Temptations”.
Formally Rick had studied music at the Hochstein Music School in Rochester, NY. He has also had private lessons and continues on-going self-study.
Rick has released two CD's. The first “A Jazzy Kinda Thayng” is a very funky, upbeat, contemporary jazz CD. His second CD, “Road Warrior” with vocals and instrumentals, showcases Rick's diversity with everything from Blues/R & B/Rock/Jazz/etc., etc. It features many great artists like his producer, D. C. Maestro, Mel Bay author: Chris Matheos. The CD is currently on the playlists of numerous national and international radio stations. Two of the tunes on “Road Warrior” have also been chosen by Network Pacific Records for addition to the Jazz Sampler Compilation CD's. This Jazz Sampler CD has international artists and distribution. It also features top notch musicians like Robert Baglione with guest Victor Wooten and Joseph Wooten.
